Due South by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co

I just finished quilting the Due South by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.

We used 20 light Fat Quarters and 10 Print fat quarters.  I think the lights are so comforting.  I love all the geese flying.

The pattern makes a 72" x 80".  But the pieced border make it great for adjusting to a larger size by just adding an additional border.

I love the stars sprinkled in the geese.    The cool grey, bright blue, cozy greens and gold tones are so comforting.   I think it look so cool for summer.

I used a tan on cream backing to keep it light.  I quilted it with a butterfly and flower pattern.
Thanks for letting me share.

Savannah by Red Crinoline Quilts

I have just hung the Savannah by Red Crinoline Quilts.  I just love how cozy and comfortable the quilts looks.  The large red floral border is just beautiful.
Very quick and easy to make. It was nice to piece a quilt that I didn't have to think about.  Just Sew.....

I used a Moda 108" for the backing and quilted it with an allover Damask Pattern.
The pattern finishes with a large 94" x 94".  I think this might have to be a keeper for my house.
Thanks for letting me share.

Migration

I have just finished Migration by Calico Carriage Quilts.  I just love how complex their patterns look, but they are so simple.  The queen is a large 90" x 102".

I used the fabrics from the Harvest Palette by Molly B's Studio for Marcus Brothers.  Brown and rust are not usually my color palette, but I just love this combination.
I quilted the quilt with stacked peacock feathers allover.

I chose the tan check from the same collection for the backing and used the rust print for binding.

Thank you for letting me share.

Little Trips in the Party of Twelve

I have had the Little Trips pattern by Glad Creations hanging on the bulletin board in my office for a few weeks and could not decide what I wanted to use with this pattern.

So when then I walked past the section at the shop that had the Party of Twelve fabrics it was just screaming Little Trips.  I think it looks so vintage.  Just like something my Grandmother would have made.
I tried to get an overall photo of the quilt.  But it is huge a 91" by 103".

I just love how the pieced border keeps the background square.  It makes the little trips just float.
I had a hard time deciding how to quilt it.  But finally decided to quilt in the ditch.  I don't usually quilt in the ditch but this called for the extra work.

I picked out a simple cream with a little circle from the Party of Twelve and of course I had to bind it in blue.

Hopefully it will give you ideas of what to do with your Party of Twelve.
Thanks for letting me share.

Hooterville

I have recently finished the Hooterville pattern by Brandywine designs.
I just love the bright fun funky owls.  I choose to machine applique the owls and trees.

I quilted with just a little loopy meander.
Thanks for letting me share.

Diaper Clutch....

We have a friend of the family who is expecting a new grandson and they are very big football fans.
So of course I had to make something football themed for them.

I made a diaper clutch.   I stitched white lines on the green grass looking fabric and made the numbers on the sideline with iron on transfer vinyl.

I put fold in pockets for diapers and wipes.

I used iron on transfer vinyl for the Touchdown in the end zone.  I used light weight clear vinyl over the inside
so that it can be easily cleaned.

On the outside I appliqued a football.
There is a few more weeks until the baby shower.  So if you know who it is for....keep it a secret.

Thanks,
Cathy

I Got it Done.

I have finished the quilting and the binding is all done.

It is not winter anymore, but Mom did put it on a bed at her house when she took it home.
Thanks for looking.
