Sara Emma by Red Crinoline Quilts

It is no secret that I sew several of the Red Crinoline Quilts (formerly Bonnie Blue Quilts).  I have finished the Sarah Emma Quilt.  It is a huge 90" x 102".  But it is currently one of my favorites.  Just a cozy warm looking quilt.
Almost the allover photo.  There are several 4" stars.

I love how the first border has the star points set in.

I used kind of all over feather meander.  The background fabric was so busy, I just didn't want to make the quilting to busy.

I choose a fabric that was a cream with a blue leaf for the backing.

Blue is my favorite color, so this is right in my comfort zone.   I have to really work at picking out quilts to make for the shop.  If I don't keep an eye on myself everything would be blue.

Thanks for letting me share....

  1. Cathy...I think you are a 'star'. Have been looking back over all your previous posts. They are all wonderful. You are talented and very creative. Was so happy to find "Over the River and Throught the Woods". I have that kit. Thanks to seeing yours I feel encouraged to begin. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your blog.
