The all over photo of the quilt....However, I am a quilter not really a good photographer and keep editing the photo, but it keeps turning back to being on it's side......I give up. Good thing it is not directional. You just can see the floor at the side.
I was never really a fan of flying geese. But have learned to like them. I really like the sawtooth boarder.
I quilted the quilt so that there would be curves and arcs in the set -in blocks and gives it a look of a cathedral window.
I used a piece of Tavern Reds on the back. I have been looking for the right project to use this fabric on and it was perfect for this quilt.
Thanks for letting me talk about my flying geese adventure and huff a little about the crazy photo that keeps flipping.
Cathy
Just beautiful! Are the flying geese paper pieced?
ReplyDeleteThank you. The flying geese were not paper pieced. Good old rectangles and square.
DeleteOh my goodness, how long did it take to make that many flying geese??? What size is this quilt, Cathy? I love the quilt and the backing is perfect for it!!! Do you have a long arm quilting machine or are you doing this on your regular machine?
ReplyDeleteKaren, I lost track of time. I just would make about 50 at a time and kept going until I had enough. It was quilted on a long arm machine.
DeleteThanks for your kind comments...
Thanks for showing the back. Lovely!!
